12 String Lap Steel Tab

This tab uses the same 12 string C6 tuning popularized by Maurice Anderson. It is tuned D B G E C A G E C A F D high strings to low. It's very similar to the old 10 string "high G" C6 tuning and also very similar to the newer 10 string tuning with a "D" string on top. It's also very different from those tunings because the bottom string is tuned to "D", a high "B" string is added and you will find many new bar slants and string combinations that make this tuning very powerful despite the fact that it is not used on a "pedal steel".

• This is not a comprehensive course, just a handy source of riffs, common scales to familiarize you with the tuning
• There are tabs with chords, bar slants, open strings and behind the bar string bends
• All tabs include sound files so you can here what they should sound like. Many are played at slower than normal speed to aid learning
• If time permits I will record a few complete songs. I've got about 50 sound files recorded, so stay tuned for some variety
