Pedal Steel Played Through A Fender Dual Showman Amp

This amp was loaned to me for a few days so I decided to see what it would do for a pedal steel sound. In fact I recorded the pedal steel, guitar and fiddle parts all direct into the Dual Showman head using the amp's internal reverb as the only effect. I used the Shure SM57 mic for all instruments and left the recorded tone of the amp unaltered on the recording. As such you can hear peaks and valleys in the amp's EQ and reverb circuits as certain notes are played. Overall the tone is very warm and I recorded the 1st and last verses with the treble switch on and the 3rd verse with it off. As you can see in the pictures, I didn't have the original amp speaker cabinet but another brand loaded with 2 12" celestions in parallel for a 4 ohm load. You can hear the amp by clicking on the song below, an original tune entitled "Dual Showman".
